To prevent future resource-based conflict by effectively managing Africa's natural resources through community-based approach and women empowerment
To have a world free from natural resources-based conflicts.
Our vision is informed by the following:
- The ever increasing demand for natural resources utilization, demographic explosion, environmental pressure, climate change, bad governance and corruption which put pressure on African communities, and the environment.
- Past resource-based conflicts& loss of many lives in African countries due to ineffective management of natural resources. Some of these countries are: Sierra Leone, Liberia, Angola, Cote d’Ivoire, DR Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, Sudan, Chad, Central African Republic, Uganda, Libya, Ethiopia, and Zimbabwe.
According to the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, effective management of people’s natural resources is a better way to prevent future conflict in the world (2012).
